More than 500 organisations, patient groups, charities and eye health intermediaries came together to support the 2012 NEHW campaign.

 

National Eye Health Week media coverage created more than 105Million opportunities for people to read, see or hear positive eye care advice.

Some media highlights include features on ITV's This Morning; BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine Show and Daybreak, as well as, the publication of eye health supplements in The Times and The Guardian newspapers.

 

Our twitter feed had a potential reach of more than 800,000 followers.

 

Like-for like visits to the visionmatters website were up 42% compared to 2011.

 

13 MPs attended a photcall in Westminster to mark the launch of NEHW.

 

A number of high profile figures gave their backing to the Week including Oscar-winning actress, Dame Judi Dench and Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg.
