Ingatestone 5 Run in aid of the Blind and Sight Impaired Society

3B High Street, Ingatestone, Essex, CM4 9ED
Sunday 23rd September

The runners will be looking for sponsorship to raise funds for BASIS. We are a sight loss charity supporting adults to live independently, reducing loneliness and isolation in South Essex.
The run is a 5 mile road race and our team will be accompanied by sighted guides who will support the runners round the course. If you would like to sponsor them please contact Michelle on 01268 522817 to make a donation.

Support 4 Sight is having a Sponsored Slim. It starts on 24th September for National Eye Health Week, with the final weigh in on 26th November. Get people to sponsor you to lose weight and raise money for charity at the same time.

Touch Tour: Sport

Bucks County Museum Church Street Aylesbury, HP20 2QP
Tuesday 25th September

For blind and partially sighted visitors to touch and discuss objects and a chance to sit in and rev a Kop Hill Climb Vintage Car.

As it will be the same week as the National Sporting Heritage Day, the first touch tour will be about sports.

Explore some sporting items from our museum collection and the National Paralympic Heritage Trust’s collection. Hear about motor racing sport and end the session by sitting and revving a Kop Hill Climb Vintage car.

Walk 4 Sight

Join us for a guided walk around the beautiful historic market town of Saffron Walden. As well as benefiting your health and wellbeing and meeting new people, this walk will help us raise awareness of National Eye Health Week. If you are visually impaired, we have people on hand to help and you can enjoy light refreshments at the end of the walk.
